Eisenhorn: Xenos – Coming Soon

With the partnership of Pixel Hero Games & Games Workshop, Eisenhorn: Xenos was born. If we told you that Eisenhorn: Xenos is another Warhammer game you would probably be surprised. Believe it or not, it is a unique title that takes place in the Warhammer universe. However, unlike other titles, it is not a strategy game, but a 3D action – adventure game that is console quality in every meaning of the word. The plot is based on the best-selling Eisenhorn trilogy’s first book, Xenos, written by prominent author Dan Abnett.

The game sets you in the role of Inquisitor Gregor Eisenhorn (voiced by Mark Strong), a member of the ‘Ordo Xenos,’ who’s sole mission is to protect the the Imperium of Man, a galactic human empire. The graphics on this game are literally breathtaking because the gameplay is combined with cinematic effects. Combat is based on a rhythmic combo system where timing plays a role in balancing between damage and stamina. Additionally, the game sports MFi controller support which complements the console experience even more.

In a way, the game tries to stay true to the book by recommending who to choose as your companion. Considering the game is action-packed you will need as much support as possible. Alternatively, you can employ stealth to avoid fights but you will be detected by cameras and turrets; so you will have to make smart choices. The overall experience is hardcore premium and is probably going to be one of the best games of its kind on mobile, especially that it was inspired by titles like Uncharted & Tomb Raider.

Developed with a modified Unreal Engine 3, the developers ensured that the game incorporates cloth physics, post processing special effects, lip syncing, and smooth model outlines. The game is planned for release on PC, iOS, & Android this year, although there is no exact date yet. This is one Warhammer game we are extremely looking forward to play.
