Modern Combat 5: Blackout – Will The Winter Update Bring Sniper Fury’s Weapons Into MC5?

”War changes. Are you ready to adapt?” This is the question that Gameloft asks on its Facebook Page above the picture they are teasing us with for their upcoming update. It’s been a while since we last heard of a major Modern Combat 5: Blackout update and people have started getting bored of the usual maps and matches. We already want Modern Combat 6! Gameloft is an amazing company, there is no doubt about that, and they do their best to support their games, but even though we might disagree with their approach, it does not mean they are not a legendary mobile developer. Having said that, they have just posted a dark teaser picture to give us an idea of what is coming in Modern Combat 5‘s Winter update.

The dark picture was not very clear, so the one that you see at the top of the page is an enhanced version with higher brightness and sharpness to better reveal the previously silhouetted gun. After pondering at its design, we noticed that it is quite familiar. One of our team members theorized that the weapon advertised for the Modern Combat 5 Winter update is the same exact one that is found in their recently released game, Sniper Fury! Did they, perhaps, darken the picture to divert us from the similarity or to add more mystery? Take a look at the image below and tell us that this is not the exact same gun posted in the MC5 image.

So do you agree with us? It certainly has the same design. In Sniper Fury, the weapon is called Third Eye, it may not be the same name when it’s released in the Winter Update to Modern Combat 5, but the external features are an exact copy. So what does this tell us about the upcoming update? It tells us that there will be new weapons, and that they may be the same ones found in Sniper Fury. Perhaps even more features will crossover such as maps? We will see, but for now, please vote below if you think the two weapons look similar. Stay tuned for more Modern Combat 5 news.
