Final Fantasy IX: The War Between Nations – Coming Soon!

Literally, hours from now we will enter the year of 2016. And in these final moments we want to share with you memorable news that will last for a long time, especially for the RPG players amongst you. Yes, that’s right! Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy IX will be coming to PC and Mobile sometime in 2016. Of course, this one holds a dear place within the Final Fantasy Franchise and has been argued to be one of the best titles released. The reason is it builds upon complex yet relatable characters that the players become attached to as the story develops.

Initially released in 2000 and reintroduced in 2010 for the PlayStation Network. This instalment takes a more traditional approach unlike its predecessor and has been influenced by the original Final Fantasy game. The story takes place on four continents in the World of Gaia. It all starts when Princess Garnet of Alexandria commemorates her birthday and for this occasion, travelling performers come to put on an entertaining show. But unbeknownst to the Princess Garnet, the travellers had other intentions, and kidnap her during her sixteenth birthday celebration. The story unfolds into a war between nations and has one of the most thrilling experiences of the franchise.

The game will be released with HD graphics, auto-save mode, high speed mode, additional achievements, and game boosting features just like the ones found on Final Fantasy VII. The upcoming title is expected to be released in Japan first and be followed by a Western release for Europe and North America. It will be available for both, iOS & Android. For iOS, you will need iOS 7.0 & later and recommended devices are iPhone 5s, iPad 4, iPad Mini 2, iPod Touch 6 or later. As for Android, you will need Android 4.1 & later. We are very excited for this title’s release and will update you once we learn more about this RPG masterpiece. You can watch the trailer for this game below.
