Today, we bring bad news regarding Pokemon GO. Niantic has decided to cancel the GDC Presentation where they were supposed to demonstrate the first Pokemon GO gameplay. When asked about what happened, here is what Niantic CEO, John Hanke, had to say, ”We have decided to forego our GDC talk on Pokémon GO in order to focus on getting the product ready for beta test and launch. As much as we hate to disappoint those in the industry attending GDC, we feel our time and energy right now are best spent on making sure every aspect of the product is where we want it to be.”
It seems that the game is not ready to be shown to the public and we can’t blame them. It is, after all, one of the biggest mobile games to be announced for this year. The Niantic Presentation on the GDC schedule is now marked with ”CANCELLED,” so we don’t expect to see any changes there. However, we do expect to see the game released in certain countries in 2016 for iOS & Google Play.
Pokemon GO will be the first augmented reality Pokemon game and that’s the reason everyone is going crazy about it. You will literally explore the world in search of Pokemon creatures and some Pokemon are exclusive to limited locations. For example, water Pokemon are expected to be near aquatic areas around the world. This is the adventure we all wanted to be real since childhood and now it is.
