If you recall, King, the company behind the Candy Crush Saga, was acquired by Activision Blizzard Studios for $5.9 billion not long ago. According to a report by Dual Shockers, King CEO, Riccardo Zacconi, has stated that the company has ”started conversations” with Activision & Blizzard in regards to exploring bigger opportunities of ”even greater games,” where top franchises from Activision & Blizzard can make their way to mobile.
The titles that we can expect to see on mobile are unbelievably exciting. Think of Call of Duty, Diablo, Overwatch, Prototype, Starcraft, Warcraft, and many more. This is a very promising move, one that these companies will see implemented. After all, Activision Blizzard Studios wouldn’t spend billions of dollars in order to make simple mobile games, would they?
The way we see it, they believe that their investment will pay off once they release top-notch games from the franchises we listed above. Surely nothing is impossible for one of the largest interactive gaming & entertainment companies in the world. Stay tuned with our website for the latest news on this story.
