Following Minecraft‘s initial popularity, we witnessed its crossover onto other platforms which resulted in the amazing Pocket Edition. The next big thing for Minecraft was Minecraft: Story Mode which brought about an interactive game with talented voice actors. There was one bridge that Mojang sought to cross for a very long time, and that was the cinema world. Mojang’s ambitious goal towards a Minecraft movie has finally come true and a movie is now in the making!

Minecraft: The Movie will be come to theaters on May 24th, 2019! Currently, there isn’t much information to share other than that it will come out in 3D & IMAX. Also, we know that the director of the movie is Rob McElhenney, who’s known for acting in the famous comedy series It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
