It would be an understatement if we told you that the whole world is going mad over the release date of Pokemon GO, the highly anticipated augmented reality mobile game. We all know it’s coming out in July, but the question is, when exactly? Let us first be crystal clear, the official release date has not been announced yet. However, we want to speculate on the most likely dates that Pokemon GO might be released on.

Reddit has been full of wild conspiracy theories with fans trying to guess the correct release date for the game. Our team has been over some of them and you would be surprised at the things people are saying over there. Yet, in the sea of uncertainty, we may have found viable release dates that you would be interested to know about. One specific theory that we want to share may hold a lot of weight actually.

On July 11th, 2015, Nintendo’s 4th President & CEO, Satoru Iwata, passed away at the age of 55. This July 11th (6 days away from now) will be the 1st anniversary since his death. It can be highly possible that Nintendo might release Pokemon GO on July 11th in his memory.

Of course, this may not be the case and if it’s not; then we believe the most strategic date would be between July 21st – 24th. On this date, San Diego Comic-Con International will take place for the year of 2016.
