Quite a lot of problems have been affecting Pokémon GO players lately and to be fair, Niantic is trying to address them all. Yet, one main problem that has been noticed by gamers is that wild Pokémon now have a higher fleeing rate when trying to catch them. This has caused extreme frustration among the community of players because they are wasting a siginificant number of Pokeballs on Pokémon that end up escaping. Fortunately, this problem has been addressed by Niantic and they pointed out that this is a bug and it will be squashed in the upcoming update.
There are other issues that have been addressed as well, such as the inability to gain XP when throwing Pokeballs. The combination of these two glitches raises some eyebrows on whether they were intentional for profit. If Pokémon are escaping at a higher rate now, then you are losing Pokeballs for no reason and if you don’t gain XP when you throw them, then this leads to a slower levelling process.
The result of these ”glitches” eventually leads you to spend real money on getting Pokeballs to catch Pokémon and increase your XP. We can’t say this is intentional because it is mere speculation but it is a good story for the conspiracy theorists among you to consider.
