Niantic has started taking cheating seriously and is going to permanently ban any account associated with cheating! The real question is, what does Niantic consider to be cheating? Niantic announced that what they consider cheating ”includes, but is not limited to: falsifying your location, using emulators, modified or unofficial software and/or accessing Pokémon Go clients or backends in an unauthorized manner including through the use of third party software.”
If you have been involved with any of the above actions, it is better to immediately delete any third party application or cease any of the above mentioned activities. However, if you get permanently banned and you believe you were banned by mistake then you can appeal by clicking here and filling out the form.
