Pokémon GO [Free] has been out for almost a month now and it swept the world wreaking havoc and spreading excitement. We have seen updates come and go, players level up and get banned. It is safe to say that we have seen enough to ask the real question, when will the legendary Pokémon start appearing? Niantic did claim before that some legendary Pokémon were released by mistake in the past but when will we see the official release?

We think it will be this year and that they are working on finding the right time for such a monumental moment. Keep in mind that they have confirmed that new Pokémon generations will be introduced in future updates. People have already started catching them all and there will be nothing much to do in the game after that. Therefore, we should be able to see legendary Pokémon in the upcoming months and the 2nd generation of Pokémon within 2017.
