Today’s story will be interesting to a large portion of you because hundreds of thousands of our readers happen to be Square Enix fans. In the wake of the annual Tokyo Game Show which will take place this September, Square Enix announced that the Dissidia series will be coming to Android and iOS this year, starting with Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia. While it is not a pure Final Fantasy game, it does include vital elements from the franchise.
The Dissidia spin-off title will feature an all-star cast of heroes, command-based battles, and party formation. The game will have the heroes and villains from the Dissidia series face off against each other. It follows the typical good vs evil theme as Square Enix is most notable for. Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia is a free-to-play social RPG that will be initially released in Japan and we believe that it will be globally released soon after.
From the trailer, you can get an idea of how it will be like. To be honest with you, we are disappointed with how they approached character animation. You can hear characters speaking but their mouth isn’t moving at all. The least they could do is put some effort into making the characters more interactive because that’s important for a profound RPG experience. More information about the game will be released at the Tokyo Game Show in September. We will leave you to judge for yourselves by watching the trailer below.
