One of the most mysterious Pokemon has finally made an appearance to trainers around the world. Yes, we are talking about the one and only Ditto! There have been numerous reports that Ditto has been caught. The players reported that when a Rattata or Pidgey was caught, the Pokemon transformed into a Ditto. It is satisfying to see that players have just come one step closer to completing their Pokedex.

There is no explanation when or how Ditto has appeared but it seems that Niantic has coded a specific time for Ditto to make its debut. This also gives you more reason to catch Rattatas and Pidgeys because it might be a Ditto in disguise. You can only know that you have caught a Ditto after you have caught a certain Pokemon. So you should try to catch em all in order to eventually get a Ditto on your list.

If you use Ditto in a gym battle, it transforms into its opponent for the entire battle duration, copying the moves of its opponent.
