Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories – Is This The Next From Rockstar?

Rockstar Games has a tradition of releasing a Grand Theft Auto game around the time of Christmas. Let us track down the past ones that were released just to have a better idea on what to expect next.

  • 2010 – GTA: Chinatown Wars
  • 2011 – GTA III
  • 2012 – GTA: Vice City
  • 2013 – GTA: San Andreas
  • 2015 – GTA: Liberty City Stories

The timeline and release period are consistent. All of these games were released either before or after Christmas but very close to that period. Rockstar Games launched a GTA game to mobile devices every year except for 2014. So the question now is, are we to expect a GTA title to launch during this Christmas? There are no facts or rumors pointing out to that but our speculation is based on the last 5 years where we did witness games released.

There is no reason to assume that Rockstar is ending its tradition anytime soon because we just got GTA: Liberty City Stories last December, a living proof that the company is still living up to its tradition. We have a theory, that Rockstar Games may still release a new game near this Christmas’ period. Are we sure? No. Yet, we do know that one will be released, if not this year, then the next.

We think that the next game to be released will be Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories. In case you didn’t know, Vice City was released in 2002 for PC and Vice City Stories was released in 2006 for PC as a prequel. We are big fans of the GTA franchise and really hope that Rockstar live up to their tradition. If we do not see the game released this Christmas, then they will skip a year as they did in 2014 and release it in 2017. Stay tuned with our website for the latest news on GTA games.
