Growing tired of the same old Pokemon creatures in Pokemon GO? We got great news for you then! Niantic has just released the Generation 2 Pokemon from the Gold and Silver games. That should be over 80 new Johto creatures available in the game. There are also gender-specific variations added which should get Pokemon Trainers on the search for even longer times.

Now you can also evolve Pokemon from the Kanto region into ones found in the Johto region, such as expanding the Eevee evolutions. That’s certainly not all! Niantic has added new encounter gameplay where you will notice new reactions from Pokemon that appear in the wild. You will also be able to select Berries and Poke Balls straight from your encounter screen.

And speaking of Berries, we all love them, right? The good news is that there are two new Berries now: Nanab Berries and Pinap Berries. The Nanab Berry will slow a Pokemon’s movement, making it easier to capture. The Pinap Berry doubles the amount of Candy you receive if you capture the next Pokemon. Finally, there are new avatars and new items such as hats, shirts, and others to upgrade your character with. You can watch the video for the new update below.
