Rome: Total War – Barbarian Invasion [$4.99] is out now on the App Store for the iPad. So what can we expect? This expansion pack was originally released in 2005 for the PC and takes you to the time during which Rome begins to decline in the west as an imperial power. You can play as a Barbarian commander that’s trying to take down what’s left of Rome or fight as a Roman General to protect the Roman Empire from enemy tribes and expand the glory of Rome.

Unlike the first game, you are not managing a rising empire but trying to keep alive a diminishing one. There are tough decisions that you will have to make and they most definitely won’t be easy.
