Probably the oldest vampire franchise in gaming history, Vampire: The Masquerade was first introduced in 1991 as a tabletop RPG and followed by Vampire: The Masquerade – Redemption launching in 2000 as a PC game. It places you in a fictional modern world where different vampire clans live in the shadows. The story revolves around the Camarilla, a secret vampiric society, that propagates in the world the conspiracy that vampires don’t exist.
What is exciting is that Nacon and Big Bad Wolf Studio have revealed a new cinematic trailer for their upcoming game, Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong. It will be a narrative-focused RPG that will be released in 2021 for PC, Consoles, and Nintendo Switch.
The game takes place in Boston where the Camarilla, the secret society composed of vampire clans, is attacked by those who wish to destroy the balance of the modern world. The game allows you to choose three characters to play with, each from a different vampire clan in order to investigate the incident.
Throughout the story, you will need to keep the Masquerade intact, which is the law designed to keep vampires hidden from humanity because they are dramatically outnumbered and if humans find out about them, they will be annihilated regardless of the powers they possess.
