Rocket League describes itself as a high-powered hybrid of arcade-style soccer and vehicular mayhem. The game supports competitive online matches and casual offline modes. Rocket League has become popular on PS, Xbox, PC, and Nintendo Switch but it is about to get much more popular with its coming update.
The upcoming update will transform the game into a free-to-play experience and will support a cross-platform progression. All you would need to play across platforms is an Epic Games account and you can then select your primary platform such as Nintendo Switch while still logging into another platform with the same Epic account.
As far as we know, the game is said to become free-to-play in summer but we don’t have a specific date for it. If the game is still going to become free-to-play during summer then we can expect it to be this August unless there is a delay and it gets pushed into another month.
