You don’t see many mobile games that combine the hack n’ slash and battle royale genres. It was interesting that we found those two genres build the foundation for the Overdox experience. Overdox is a competitive real-time combat game that was developed by Haegin and supports up to 12 online players per match.
The game features several modes such as Free For All, Team Deathmatch, and others. It was exciting to see that in partnership with MOBILE E-SPORTS®, the first official Overdox Tournament has been announced. This is great news for all mobile and handheld gamers as it expands esports for these communities.
Overdox: The Official Tournament is based on the Free For All Mode and 48 players from North America (US & Canada) will be selected to partake in it. Round 1 will start with the 48 players divided into 4 groups of 12 and each group will play in a Best of 3 Format where the top 6 of each group will advance to the next round.
In Round 2, the 24 remaining players will be divided into two groups of 12 where the top 6 of each group will advance to the Finals. In the Finals, the remaining 12 players will play in a Best of 3 Format and the top 3 will be selected as winners. These winners will be earning from a prize pool of $300 Cash, GFUEL Products, 6000 In-Game Crystals, and 100 MES Credits.
Finally, if you are interested in this game and tournament, click here to visit the official tournament page and learn more on how to register. We don’t always see these two unique genres combined into one game so it is a great thing to see a game like Overdox have its first official tournament.
