Wrassling – Review

There was once a time when games were supposed to be quite simple, utterly mad, and compellingly fun. The developer, Colin Lane, has created Wrassling [Free] while being true to this formula. Behind the plethora of pixels in Wrassling you will find an upheaval of an experience. There are no referees or rules. There is only one rule: ”Wrassle everything and everybody.” The game is a form of wrestling where it includes swinging your arm until you cast your opponents outside the ring and sometimes catapulting them to the infinite darkness where they never fall back down (True story). Once you have overpowered enough of them you will get to face the giant wrassler who will be somewhat problematic for such a small sized, pixelated creature like you.

The game’s physics are so unearthly so you will experience mad and baffling consequences once you attempt to wrassle your enemies. However, one thing you should know about this game is that wrasslers will fall like rain on you. The best part about this game is that there is a co-op mode where you can wrassle with your friends on the same device. The controls become divided on both sides of the screen and you get to prove your wrassling skills through unrecognizable moves and random arm-swinging. Your goal is to stay in the ring as long as possible and by doing so you unlock ludicrous hats that makes wrassling all the more crazy.

Chaos at its best

While the game is free you are given the choice to pay $1.99 to get rid of the advertisement that pops on your screen once you have finished playing the game. We did not have any problem removing the advertisement but we did buy the app to support the developer because the game made us drown in absurd laughter.

Finally, behind the unusual surprises, uncommon form of wrestling and pandemonium of randomness, you will find the sort of fun that made Flappy Bird a huge success. Perhaps, sometimes all we need is that insane game that knows how to make us smile with its unorthodox mechanics. If you want to grapple in the strangest ways, then take your shot at Wrassling and attempt to stay in the ring as long as possible – and yes, that is a challenge! Thanks to the Darkest Nation channel, we have provided you with a video of this game below.

We rate it 9.3/10
