Warhammer 40000: Regicide [$3.99] has now arrived to the App Store! Being one of the most tactical, brutal, and gorgeous of the Warhammer games, its release marks a great victory for the fans of the Warhammer franchise. Hammerfall & Games Workshop take on the world of chess through a thrilling Warhammer experience. This turn-based strategy combines multiple phases of combat with dynamic action and divides the action into two interesting modes: Regicide Mode & Classic Mode.
In Regicide Mode, you can plan an attack and command your units through two phases of combat. This allows you to open fire on your enemies by using your own tactics. This mode includes single and multiplayer battles. In Classic Mode, you get to play tactically according to the traditional chess rules. You can select your race and play against players from around the world online. This mode supports single-player and cross-platform multiplayer.
The game features an advanced AI that offers 5 types of difficulty settings for both modes. Asynchronous gameplay is also supported along with competitive online leaderboards. There are 50 single-player missions with fully-narrated campaigns, so it should keep you busy and entertained. You can choose to play with 2 races, the indomitable Space Marines or the blood thirsty Orks, both having their own advantages and weaknesses.
Warhammer 40000: Regicide was first released on Steam back in August of 2015 by developer & publisher Hammerfall Publishing. It was received with positive feedback by critics and players alike. We expect nothing less from the iOS version because Hammerfall is a company that has strong emphasis on the quality of its games. The game has been redesigned for mobile screens and has been empowered with a bloody single-player campaign, a cross platform & asynchronous multiplayer mode, universal accounts, new board layouts and brand new content along with new faction abilities.
Oh, it gets even better! In celebration of the iOS launch, PC & iOS players will receive all the upcoming DLC for free for the initial 12 days post-release. It will include a new 20 mission prequel campaign; the Blood Axes, a new Ork Clan; and the Imperial Garrison, a whole new environment set in the Warhammer universe. Warhammer 40000: Regicide is very cheap when you compare it to the Steam price of $14.99; an advantage worth considering. Finally, you can check the trailer for this game below.
